Commercial Builders, Inc. has recently been selected to complete the interior framing/drywall/insulation/acoustical ceilings and FSorb acoustical panel package on the new 900,000 sq. ft. Project Nebula, located at the Carrie Meeks Industrial Center in Opa Locka, Fl.
Project General Contractor, The Conlan Company, has completed nine previous Nebula distribution facilities of similar size, with their most recent project just completed in Jacksonville, Fl.
This will be Commercial Builders sixth industrial building done for The Conlan Company over the last seven years in the southeast Florida region. Commercial Builders, Inc. recently was selected by industry leader, Vratsinas Construction Company of Little Rock, AK to complete the AMC/Sears Redevelopment at Pembroke Lakes Mall in Pembroke Pines. The project consists of multiple phases, first of which is reducing the footprint of the existing Sears store by 50%, demoltion of the half of Sears store and the construction of a new 9 screen AMC theater that house both an IMAX and Dolby theater.

Commercial Builders, Inc. (CBI) has recently been selected to participate in the construction of the new Pompano Beach Library/Cultural Arts Center for OHL/Arellano of Miami. This uniquely designed project will consist of extensive exterior framing & elongated triangular shaped columns. The exterior skin will have over 50,000 sq. ft. of Sto Exterior Insulation and Finish System (EIFS) with random aesthetic V groove pattern at both masonry wall & metal framed walls. The interior space will consist of both a regional library and a Cultural Arts Center to serve the local area which has some very challenging details, including several sloped cloud ceilings and more elongated triangular shaped columns. Brian Mead, owner of Commercial Builders, Inc. has said “this project will be the cornerstone gateway to Pompano Beach and will be one if not, one of the most uniquely designed projects in all of South Florida.”
Commercial Builders, Inc. (CBI) was recently awarded the Interior/Exterior light gauge framing, exterior sheathing, stucco, drywall, insulation and veneer plaster for the new Broward County Animal Care and Adoption Facility for Stiles Construction of Ft. Lauderdale. Some specific project features include over 35,000 sq. ft. of interior veneer plaster over cement board, mainly at the kennel areas. A high entrance clearstory lobby that features extensive floor & wall tile. Commercial Builders, Inc. will also being installing over 5,000 sq. ft. of Prodema ceiling panels at both interior and exterior ceilings. Brian Mead, owner of Commercial Builders, Inc. stated that “this project is the Ritz Carlton of Dog Kennels and is excited to have the opportunity to work on the project with industry leader, Stiles Construction. We will have a great opportunity to showcase our skills in many aspects of this project.”
Work is expected to start in the 4th quarter of 2015 and be completed in the summer of 2016.
Commercial Builders, Inc. has been selected to perform the interior framing, drywall & EIFS systems on the new Ft. Lauderdale Terminal 4 Western Expansion with Industry leader KHS&S of Tampa, Florida. The project will be done on a fast track schedule and is expected to have the first flights by mid July of 2015. Work will consist of very detailed interior structural framing due to span lengths with over 5000 l/f of reveal & control joints placed at architecturally significant building lines.
Commercial Builders, Inc. will be teaming up again with national General Contractor, Vratsinas Construction of LIttle Rock, Arkansas to renovate the Food Court and Main Canopy entrances at the Westland Mall in Hialeah, Floirda. Our interior work will consist of a complete Food Court renovation, including new drywall ceilings, soffits, radius columns with a new Microlite Trellis System over the seating area. The exterior work includes new framing and stucco systems on the three main mall entrances. Work is scheduled to begin in March of 2015 with a completion set for September of 2015.
Commercial Builders, Inc. has been selected by James A Cummings (JAC) of Ft. Lauderdale to complete the interior framing and drywall systems, along with the exteiror framing & Sto EIFS system on the new Lauderhill Performing Arts Center and Regional Broward County Library. This will be our first project with JAC and is expected to be open in the fall of 2015.
Commercial Builders, Inc. will be teaming up again with The Conlan Company of Jacksonville, FL on this three building industrial office/warehouse and distribution facility in Miami. Our work will consist of exterior truss framing, STO EIFS System and multiple interior buildouts.
