Commercial Builders, Inc. (CBI) founded in 1994 by Brian and Cyndi Mead. CBI specializes in commercial structural and lightgauge framing, lightgauge trusses, drywall, insulation as well as Exterior Insulation and Finish Systems (EIFS).

Commercial Builders, Inc. was the first contractor in the S.E. Florida region to hold the Association of the Wall and Ceiling Industries - International (AWCI) EIFSMART Contractor Certification. EIFSMART is a distinct industry certification given to contractors who have shown a committment to and completed the required education regarding EIFS installations, as well as passing an objective test. They must also maintain a mix of EIFS certified employees. The EIFSMART Contractor Certification is renewed annually if AWCI minimum requirements are met and maintained.

Owner Brian Mead brings over thirty five years of commercial building experience to CBI and handles all of the estimating, sales, project management and purchasing. Before founding CBI, Brian was the South Florida General Superintendent for a Houston-based drywall contractor. From 1987 to 1991, he built such projects as the Crocker Center Phase II, Mission Bay Shopping Center, Glades Crossing and Radisson Hotel, all in Boca Raton. Brian also built the Fort Lauderdale Jet Center and Courtyard Marriott in Fort Lauderdale.
Co-owner Cyndi Mead is the office manager and is responsible for all of the payables and payroll duties. She also works with our CPA in preparing quarterly and year-end reports.
Superintendent Freddy Ramos has been with Commerical Builders, Inc. since 1995. Freddy is very detailed oriented and has completed such projects as Carter Square Shopping Center, University Credit Union, Publix Addison, Publix Jupiter, Westland Mall Renovation and is currently on the Ft. Lauderdale Terminal 4 Western Expansion. Freddy started with us as a apprentice and through his hard work and motivation to grow is now one of our top superintendents.
Project Manager/Estimator Mark Horsch has been with Commercial Buiders, Inc. for over sixteen years. Mark brings an extensive background in masrony along with intrigate metal framing construction. Mark has completed such jobs as Town & Country Specialty Shoppes, Dick's Sporting Goods & Total Wine at Town & Country and the recently completed Lauderhill Performing Arts Center.
